the ongoings of my life: 2 more sleeps...

Last year, at Grayson's end of the little league season party, Hanifa fell in love with two dogs. We've always said that when Brie, our 12 1/2 year old mutt passed, we were taking a dog break. However, these dogs kept coming up in conversation and then I made the mistake of asking the owners of those two dogs for the name of their breeder. I'm not necessarily a person to just randomly collect information. I'm a doer. I act. Ok, well sometimes I collect stuff, but I'm trying to get better at that. So, at the beginning of September, I called the breeder, Marge Mehagian of Mehagian Vizslas. Little did I know that a litter was due the next week. And so, on my birthday (9/8) the newest member of our family was born. She is coming home in 2 days and my kids are over the moon excited. Brie, I'm not so sure. Here are some photos of the puppies that we began visiting when they were just 2 1/2 days old!

6.5 weeks...our puppy is the one sniffing Grayson's hand...

Ginger, as she will be called, has a big road ahead of her. The boys want her to become bird trained and Grayson has every intention of "showing" her. I'm sure there will be many photos to follow!
