Since it has been so long, I decided I should do this chronologically. Ok...so the kids and I went to Puerto Penasco, Mexico in mid-May. It was a great trip with a new friend...just the moms and kids. We stayed in this cool little beach house in the Los Conchas (Sp?) section of Rocky Point. What a difference location makes in that little town. Grayson loved looking for sea creatures, Chase and Lindsey dug holes in the sand and I was content with watching them from my beach chair the whole time. Here is a photo of the kids:
Upon returning from Mexico, I decided to embark on a life change. I wore a bathing suit and was all to unhappy with what I saw. Since then, I have given up fast food, 80% of the meat I was eating, 90% of the alcohol and all carbonated beverages. (I also started a 5:30am exercise routine.) I thought I would see pounds fall off, but unfortunately, it's been a lot harder than I thought. I have a great exercise partner -- she lives right behind me -- and we are the sounding boards of the onslaught on complaints that we both come of with. However, as of today, June 25 -- I have lost about 15 pounds...and when I look at all of these babies being born around here, I figure that's two of those so it's not so bad. I'll keep you updated on that.
Also -- I changed my hair color. I'm now a brunette (much to the disdain of my family). I didn't mean to become a brunette and it's not going to stay that way -- but it's an interesting break from the reality which is my fake blond hair. :)
Enter June...kids got out of school...tanks are still selling like crazy (I have no time for anything else) and it's flippin' hot here. I attended Sparkle Bella last weekend with Kimberly Kwan, Teresa McFayden, Carolyn Peeler, Marilyn Healey and many other talented women. What a great crowd. Made me want to create like crazy. Hmmm...if I could only get caught up on these shirts! I'm itching to do something..so I'll post my creative photos in the next update.
That's all I have time for now, but I promise to update sooner than later. At least now I know someone besides my sister reads my blog!
